Residential Pest Control in Lake Dallas, TX

When owning a home, you are constantly dealing with maintenance, upkeep, renovations, and repairs. No homeowner wants to deal with the added hassle of unwanted pests. Therefore, our experts at Adams Exterminating Company devised three year-round plans that target local area pests so that you won’t have to worry about rodents, stinging insects, ants, or other destructive pests damaging your Lake Dallas property and impacting the health and well-being of your family.

Each of our residential pest control plans begins with a free inspection of your property.  A licensed pest technician will carefully survey the interior and exterior of your home to locate entryways, find nesting areas, and determine the extent of your pest problem. From there, he or she will devise a plan for pest control. All our customizable plans include interior and exterior treatments every other month to ensure that unwanted pests stay out of your home.

  • Our Perimeter Pest Control Plan is our standard option. It offers protection against common area pests, an interior service and guarantee, as well as exterior services to ensure that once pests are removed, they can’t get back inside.
  • Our Home Guardian Pest & Termite Control Plan offers all the benefits of the Perimeter Pest Control Plan along with termite monitoring and a termite service warranty.
  • Our Home Guardian Plus Plan is our most comprehensive pest control solution. It offers interior and exterior pest control, warrantied termite monitoring, plus mosquito control.

Our licensed pest control experts will work with you and your schedule to make sure your home is free of unwanted pests. Reach out to us today to schedule your free inspection and discuss which of our pest control plans works for you.

Avoiding Mosquitoes Around Your Lake Dallas Home Or Business

We’ve all experienced the persistent buzz of a mosquito as they incessantly circle your head looking for the right moment to bite. During the warmest months of the year, we seek respite by sitting outside only to be disturbed by these tenacious biting pests.

Description

Mosquitoes are winged insects with long, dangling legs, slender bodies, and a protruding proboscis. Females reach about ¼ inch in length and feed on human blood to provide nutrients for their eggs. Males are much larger, and unlike females, they feed on nectar exclusively.

Fighting Fire Ants On Your Lake Dallas Property

At some point, you’ve likely come across a sandy mound that’s host to a plethora of fire ants. If you know better, you’ll steer clear knowing that these small ants pack quite the punch. They will sting anyone that threatens their home multiple times leaving behind painful red welts.

Description

Fire ants are dark red to brown and quite small. At their largest, they are just shy of ½ inch. Like all ant species, they have oval segments, six legs, and a pair of antennae.

Problem

Fire ants earned their name from their color and the burning sting they inflict upon their victims. If you encounter a fire ant nest, they will sting multiple times resulting in painful welts that turn to white pustules. Those with allergies will have more severe symptoms and may need to seek medical care after an altercation with fire ants.

Aside from their painful stings, fire ants may take over your yard with their large, mounded nests. As their colony expands, they will continue to build nests making it impossible for you to lounge in the grass without coming into contact with these pests.

Fire ants may also get inside your home through AC units of HVAC systems offering them more opportunities to ambush and sting you.

Solution

The best way to avoid a fire ant sting is to avoid their nests. However, when fire ants invade your property in large numbers, this can be increasingly difficult. Therefore, seal any entry points that allow ants inside your home and contact a professional to help reduce your fire ant population in your yard.

At Adams Exterminating Company, we apply a series of fire ant treatments so that you don’t have to worry about accidentally encountering these stinging insects. Reach out today with questions about our fire ant control options.

Our FAQ

Have questions? We are here to help. Still have questions or can't find the answer you need? Give us a call at 940-239-9786 today!

  • Are your services guaranteed?
We pride ourselves in offering services that solve your pest control problems. Many of our treatments are backed with a service guarantee, so if the problem persists, we will be back to treat again at no extra charge. We plan to continue our trend the impeccable service which resulted in an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
  • If your company puts out rodent poison at my house, will a rat die inside?
Yes, this is a possibility. Ideally, we prefer to use traps on the inside and in the attic, and then place rodent poison in protected stations on the exterior (which could reduce the likelihood of having a rodent die inside). However, anytime a rodenticide is used, there is always a threat that a rat or mouse could die on the inside. If the dead rodent can be located and removed, this will fix the smell. Otherwise, we sell odor control products to help with unpleasant smells should this unfortunately occur.
  • Do you offer any organic/green/low toxic treatments?

We do offer “green” treatments because we understand that though the synthetic pesticides that we typically use are quite safe, some people for various valid reasons prefer a green approach to pest control. In addition to employing completely non-chemical measures such as structural and mechanical alterations (weep-hole exclusions, recommendations on door sweep replacement etc.) and glue traps or other monitoring devices, we have a number of natural and botanical insecticides that we can use to treat your home or business.

We commonly use natural products such as boric acid, diatomaceous earth, and a number of different botanical products (pyrethrum, rosemary oil, cedar oil, etc.). These products can be very effective when used properly. One downside is that they usually don't last as long as synthetic pesticides, so we generally recommend a more frequent treatment cycle, such as monthly, when using these products. Just tell the person you speak with on the phone or the technician who services your property about your preference and we will be happy to accommodate you.

  • What type of payment options do you accept?
We accept cash, check or credit card. We do ask that you pay at the time of service. Many of our customers put a credit card on file with our office. It is stored securely in our system and only charges AFTER the service is rendered.
