Therefore, we must consider pest control to not only maintain our homes but also our peace of mind. Adams Exterminating Company is a family-owned and operated company that understands the importance of keeping your home free of the hazards associated with unwanted pests. That’s why we offer customized recurring home pest control plans that will help you keep pests out of your Oak Point home for good.
Generally, we offer three plans that offer three different levels of coverage. Within these plans, there is abundant opportunity for customization so that we can cater to your specific needs. Our plans all begin with a free inspection so that we can survey your pest problem and come up with a recommendation for treatment. We will look for property damage, locate entry points, and find signs of pest activity. From there, we will discuss your safe and effective treatment options. All our plans treat common area pests such as spiders, wasps, ants, beetles, and others. Typically, with each of our three plans, we return to your home every other month to retreat.
Our home pest control plans are as follows:
- Perimeter Pest Control: This plan includes treatment of common area pests as well as exterior services.
- Home Guardian Pest & Termite: This plan includes treatment of common area pests along with Sentricon® Termite monitoring and a termite service warranty.
- Home Guardian + Pest & Termite Control + Mosquito: This plan includes treatment of common area pests, Sentricon® Termite monitoring, a termite service warranty, plus seasonal mosquito control.
Our free inspection, as well as a conversation with one of our pest control experts, will help you choose a plan that suits your specific needs. If you’re looking for a targeted solution to a specific pest problem, we also offer one-time pest control services.

How to Identify And Eliminate Springtails In Oak Point
You may not know about these occasional invaders unless you develop a problem with springtails. Though we don’t have severe winters in Texas, when temperatures drop, we enjoy our decrease in bugs. One exception, however, is the springtail.
Description
Springtails are small, wingless insects that are also called snowfleas because of their ability to survive cold temperatures. Though they are not fleas, they can jump from place to place using a forked structure at the end of their abdomen. They are tiny, black hexapods that are only about 1/16 of an inch long. They have two antennae and a segmented body.
They feed on decaying plant matter. They typically emerge on sunny, cold days and prefer damp habitats so that they can feed on mold, fungi, and other organic material.
Problem
Though springtails don’t spread any diseases or cause any structural damage to homes, they can be a nuisance in large numbers, especially if they make their way into your Oak Point home. They are attracted to moisture-rich environments and therefore will thrive in houseplants or near damp areas such as leaking pipes, bathrooms, or drain lines.
Solution
Though springtails are beneficial to our ecosystem as they contribute to the decomposition process, that doesn’t mean we want them in our Oak Point homes. To prevent or treat a springtail problem, look for areas of excess moisture. Repair leaking pipes, ensure that there’s proper ventilation in your bathrooms, and install dehumidifiers in moisture-rich areas. Through these creatures are tiny, do your best to seal up any entry points that would allow these insects to make their way inside. If you continue to experience problems with springtails, the experts at Adams Exterminating Company can help. We will inspect your property for problem areas, provide a free estimate, and come up with a customized plan that solves your springtail infestation.
